Private Equity Associate
Job Description
Position: Private Equity Associate
Duration: Expected 2-year commitment
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Tower Arch Capital applies a unique partner-oriented approach to its private equity investments. Associates develop skills in the areas of business strategy, financial modeling, legal structuring, and portfolio company management. In the investment evaluation phase, associates typically work as part of a 2-4 person team to determine whether a company is an attractive acquisition candidate. This analysis includes assessing industry attractiveness, competitive dynamics and risks, company strengths and weaknesses, and management capabilities. As associates gain experience, they work to determine the most advantageous structure for acquisitions and participate in negotiations with outside financing sources. Associates also work extensively with portfolio companies, including attending meetings with management teams and company Boards. Collaborative work with portfolio companies includes working alongside management to prioritize and implement value creation initiatives.
Qualifications: Two to three years of full-time consulting or investment banking experience completed by start date; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to operate with limited supervision; and well-developed interpersonal skills.
